The Institute of Inter-Cultural Studies is an extension of the vision and endeavour of Nagaland Bible College to fulfil its mission to train and produce missionaries to send out to the South Asian Countries. Nagaland Bible College was established in 1977 by Late Rev. Dr. ChubaAo, who was one of the pioneering leaders in the Pentecostal movement in Nagaland in the nineteen fifties and the sixties. The faithfulness of God towards this ministry has been steadfast. Beginning from a very humble Bible Training School, today NBC has become a well-established Theological institution, and have trained over 900young people.

It has always been our hearts' burden to take the liberating message of salvation to the ends of the world in obedience to the gospel (Mt 28:19-20). As Nagaland is in a strategic place to reach out easily to the South Asian Countries, we can see that God had a glorious plan and purpose for the Naga people when He redeemed our people unto His Name.

Establishing the Institute of Inter-Cultural Studies in Nagaland Bible College for training and sending out people into the mission field is the next natural step for Nagaland Bible College. It is to undertake and fulfil the vision of reaching the unreached by crossing boundaries and carrying Christ (Ac 20:24)

VISION

Our vision is to reach the unreached people groups of South Asia with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

MISSION

Our Mission is to train, equip, empower and send out people who are called by God to become committed and effective missionaries.

OBJECTIVES

  • To train and nurture the students in the likeness of Jesus Christ through prayer and discipline, implementation of various programmes and activities, seminars and lectures and by providing opportunities for field exposures.
  • To equip the students with sound doctrine and lead them into a greater knowledge of the Holy Spirit as they prepare to reach out the unreached proclaiming the good news.
  • To create knowledge and awareness of the diversified cultural viewpoints, norms and practices found among the South Asian countries in order to develop a better perspective and understanding towards a cross cultural mission
  • To link and connect the students with the other mission agencies and mission fields.
